Licensed Reclads were recommended to the owners of this large family home when they discovered rotten timber framing during recent building works.

We initially spent a lot of time discussing the project so the owners had a full understanding of what was required and then provided them with a detailed estimate. Once the clients had all the information they needed, plans were drawn up and submitted to council for consent.

The home was in need of timber remediation works due to moisture ingress and structural defects. Unfortunately, most of this was caused by poor workmanship when the home was initially constructed. Everything was repaired to the correct standard and the original framing was treated in situ to meet durability requirements.

The home was fitted with new insulation and building wrap on a drained cavity prior to new pine bevel back weatherboards being fitted. Double glazed joinery was also fitted and a new asphalt shingle roof was laid. As always, our team’s workmanship was a reflection of the high standards we set at Licensed Reclads and the owners were delighted with the end result.

The improvements to this home were substantial. It now not only looks modern but performs as a dry, quiet and solid home.
