Reclad, Re-roof and Addition – Glendowie
This property qualified for Financial Assistance Package (FAP) contributions from the government due to a failed Insulclad Direct Fixed Cladding system and failed roof junctions/parapets.
The roof and junctions were redesigned and laid with iron to reduce the risk of future watertight issues. New timber was re-instated to replace decayed timber and existing framing was treated to current requirements. The building was then wrapped and refurbished joinery was re-installed.
Jenkin A-lign bevelback timber weatherboards in conjunction with painted board and batten were chosen as the cladding system and form a nice feature of the property. The owners also took the opportunity to renovate internally and add the small addition they had always wanted to their home.
Now complete and issued with a new Code of Compliance Certificate (CCC) this property looks great and full resale value has been restored.
