Multi Unit Reclad – Henderson
This case study shows a multi unit complex of duplex and stand alone town houses.
A comprehensive weathertight report and destructive testing had shown substantial timber decay in all units.
The cladding that had failed in this instance was a 6mm fibre sheet board (monotek) with a spray on plaster coating. Areas that failed included the decorative polystyrene plaster coated horizontal band, window openings, corners of the building and roof junctions.
Licensed Reclads were engaged to project manage and undertake the reclad and repair works. Our teams worked quickly to re-instate new timber, install double glazed joinery and rectify roof junctions. The units were then clad with James Harde Linea board on a cavity system giving the complex a very smart and modern street appeal.
The successful completion of this project required a lot of careful planning and behind the scenes work from Licensed Reclads. This project was completed under time and under budget which was greatly appreciated by the owners of these tenanted units.
